Navigating Caregiving: Self-Care While Supporting an Aging Parent
Positive Healing & Trauma Services
Quality Therapy Services for Adults, Children, Couples, & Families
Beth McGinley is the owner and founder of Positive Healing & Trauma Services, a mental health private practice providing therapeutic services for people and families in need of positive change. We specialize in individual and couples counseling in the treatment of anxiety, depression, communication conflicts and family strife.
In order to bring about healthy change, clients work in tandem with our therapists, in person or virtually, to create a therapeutic alliance that allows for the safe sharing of past and present experiences. Not all trauma leaves noticeable scars, and by working through both generational trauma and more recent episodes, clients can resolve the bodily responses that often result from exposure to stress and stress-inducing relationships. Our staff can educate and assist clients using trauma-based best practices to cope and eventually resolve past traumatic events by understanding the impact on our body and behavior.
In addition to trauma-informed care modalities, we provide other techniques, including cognitive behavioral approaches and mindfulness to address irrational and often unhealthy thought processes that can hinder relationships and family functioning.
